Donna L. Biderman has been practicing law in the District of Columbia since 1989 and in Virginia since 1997.
She was an associate at Howrey & Simon (later Howrey LLP), one of the largest law firms in Washington, D.C., from 1989 until 1994. While there, she represented, among others, Fortune 100 corporations involved in complex litigation, a class of prisoners at Lorton Correctional Institution alleging civil rights violations, and individuals accused of crimes.
In 1994, Ms. Biderman left Howrey & Simon to open her own law practice. Since then, Ms. Biderman has been a solo practitioner fighting for her client's rights. She represents clients in both Virginia and the District of Columbia. She has appeared in court hundreds of times on behalf of clients at both the trial and appellate court levels. She has handled the estate planning needs of more than a hundred clients. Ms. Biderman's diverse practice includes all types of civil litigation, criminal defense, estate planning, and corporate law.
Ms. Biderman earned her J.D. at Boston College Law School in 1989, where she was an editor of the Boston College International and Comparative Law Review, and had an article published. She earned her B.A. (in philosophy) with honors at the University of Chicago in 1985.
Ms. Biderman lives in Vienna, Virginia, with her husband and dog, and has three grown children.
Ms. Biderman is a member of the bars of Virginia, the District of Columbia, Massachusetts (ret.), the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
